The Circuit

"The circuit's lined and jammed with chromed invaders..."
Kingsley Avenue, Ocean Avenue, a section of Lake Avenue and Deal Lake Drive made up the circuit. At its zenith, herds of hot rods and Harleys cruised the down these streets past the Stone Pony, the Wonder Bar and Club Xanadu. Because of a sewage treatment plant and the ruins of a beached whale of a developer's show project, these streets no longer form a loop.

Palace Amusements and 'Tillie'

"Beyond the Palace, hemi-powered drones scream down the boulevard..."
Much of the Palace was a victim of a wrecking ball.
Save Tillie works to preserve the Palace.

The Paramount Theatre

In November 1996, Bruce Springsten played here for three nights . The E Street band rehearsed here for the Darkness tour. Also the location for the 1999 reunion tour practice sessions.

In July of 2002, Springsteen performed My City of Ruins here for broadcast on the Today Show. Bruce is a regular customer at this restaurant. Don't waste your time hanging around hoping to get discovered... They close the doors when Springsteen shows up.
